At Summerdale we are lucky to have large established swathes of snowdrops throughout the garden which have built up over many decades. To the existing varieities which include singles and doubles we have added our own over the years to develop an ever expanding collection. These lift the spirits at the beginning of the year and provide a perfect association to the hellebores in our shade garden.

A number of varieties are now  available in sufficient numbers to offer these for sale either at the nursery or by mail order.

The old adage of ‘in the green sales’ is falling out of favour as lifting at this time does tend to set growth back. We prefer to lift the bulbs while dormant and offer for sale as bulbs or grow on in pots over winter  to sell as growing rooted plants in winter to early spring.
